- The quiz ranks Shopify, Salla, Zid, WooCommerce, Amazon and noon for your situation in under a minute.
- Where your company is registered matters most: Salla and Zid suit Saudi entities, Shopify suits UAE and overseas sellers.
- Shopify Payments doesn't work in Saudi Arabia, so the quiz flags the extra 0.6–2% fee when Shopify wins for a Saudi seller.

Which platform should you sell on?
7 quick questions. We score Shopify, Salla, Zid, WooCommerce, Amazon and noon for your situation.
Question 1 of 7
Where is your business based?
Where your company or trade licence is registered.
Scores are an editorial estimate based on published pricing and features as of October 2026 (noon details partly unverified); confirm with each provider before committing.
How to use the quiz
You need no account and nothing to download. Have three facts ready: where your company is registered, your monthly budget and roughly how many products you sell.
- 1

- 3
Choose your customers' language
Arabic-first, fully bilingual, or mostly English.
- 4

How the scoring works
Each answer gives every platform 0 to 3 points. Seven questions make 21 points in total, and your match score is your share of that.
Here's what each answer tends to favour:
| Question | Pushes towards |
|---|---|
| Based in Saudi Arabia | Salla and Zid (Saudi data, Arabic support) |
| Based in the UAE | Shopify and noon |
| Based outside the GCC | Shopify and Amazon Global Selling |
| Selling across several GCC countries | Shopify and noon |
| Tight budget (under SAR 100 a month) | Salla, Zid and Amazon |
| Large or complex catalog | Shopify, WooCommerce and Amazon |
| International from day one | Shopify, Amazon and WooCommerce |
| Arabic-first customers | Salla, Zid and noon |
| Marketplaces first | Amazon and noon |
The reasons under your top pick come from the answers that scored it highest. They cover facts like built-in mada and cash on delivery on Salla and Zid, or Amazon.sa's traffic lead in Saudi Arabia.
The quiz also adds a heads-up in three cases:
- Shopify wins for a Saudi business. Shopify Payments isn't available in Saudi Arabia, so you pay an extra 0.6–2% fee on top of your gateway.
- Salla or Zid wins for a non-Saudi business. Both need a Saudi legal entity and IBAN, or a local partner.
- noon wins for a seller outside the GCC. noon has mostly favoured sellers registered in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, so check its cross-border options first.
The weights are our editorial judgement, built on each platform's published pricing and features as of October 2026.
Worked example: a UAE brand selling across the Gulf
Say you run a skincare brand with a Dubai trade licence. You want to sell in several GCC countries, carry around 200 products and can spend SAR 100–1,000 a month.
You might go international in a year or two. Your customers want Arabic and English, and you'd like your own store plus marketplaces.
Here's the ranking the quiz returns:
Shopify wins because Shopify Payments works in the UAE, Shopify Markets handles several currencies, and you won't need to migrate later. Noon comes a close second, which makes sense: it's the UAE's second-biggest online retailer and sells across the Gulf.
Now flip the business to a small Saudi store. Pick a Saudi CR, Saudi Arabia only, under 50 products, a tight budget, a local focus, Arabic-first and your own store. Salla and Zid both hit 100%, while Shopify drops below 50%.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, and many Gulf brands do. Answer "Both" to the last question and the quiz balances the two. A common setup is your own Salla or Shopify store for repeat buyers, plus Amazon or noon for reach.
