How to Sell on Amazon Saudi Arabia: A Step-by-Step Seller Guide

Amazon.sa is Saudi Arabia's most-visited shopping site, and it's actively recruiting sellers. Saudi businesses register with a CR. Foreign brands register through Amazon Global Selling. Most sellers launch with FBA, Arabic listings and the 2026 ad credit.

Key takeaways
  • Amazon.sa is the Kingdom's most-visited shopping site, with about 13.9 million visits a month (Semrush, Sep 2026).
  • Saudi businesses sign up with a commercial registration (CR). Foreign brands use Amazon Global Selling and don't always need a Saudi company.
  • Selling costs a 3–16% referral fee plus about SAR 10 per order for FBA on a small parcel. The monthly plan fee is waived for now.
  • New sellers get ad credit of up to SAR 3,500 and, if Saudi-based, 30% off referral fees for 60 days until 31 Dec 2026.
  • List within 20 days of signing up, write real Arabic listings and use FBA for the Prime badge. That's the fastest route to a first sale.

Amazon.sa is the busiest shopping site in Saudi Arabia, and right now it's paying new sellers to join.

The Kingdom has more than 25 million online shoppers. Most are young, mobile-first and happy to spend. Saudi delivery orders grew 60% in a single year.

You can sell to them whether you're a Riyadh startup or a brand in London or Shenzhen. Saudi businesses sign up with a commercial registration, and foreign brands use Amazon Global Selling.

Below are the full steps: what you need, how to register, how to list in Arabic, which fulfilment to pick, what it costs, and how to land your first sales. It's part of our guide to selling on Amazon in the Middle East.

Why sell on Amazon.sa?

Amazon.sa gives you the biggest audience in the Gulf's biggest market, with the delivery network already built. Here's what makes it worth your time:

  • Shoppers are already there. Amazon.sa tops the Saudi retail traffic table, ahead of Temu, SHEIN and noon.
  • They're young and they spend. About 71% of Saudi nationals are under 35, and nearly everyone shops on a phone.
  • Payments are no longer a headache. Amazon collects cards, Tabby and Tamara instalments, and cash on delivery for you.
  • Prime does the delivery. FBA listings get free two-day Prime delivery, and Amazon handles returns and customer service.
  • Competition is lighter than in the US or Europe. Fewer advertisers bid on each keyword, so new listings reach page one faster.
  • Amazon wants you now. In 2026 it's offering fee discounts, ad credit and storage breaks to new sellers.

Saudi Arabia also gives you a clear seasonal rhythm. Ramadan, Saudi National Day, 11.11 and White Friday all bring big spikes in demand.

Who can sell on Amazon Saudi Arabia?

Almost any legitimate business can. Amazon.sa has two doors in, and the one you use depends on where your company is based.

Business licenceSaudi commercial registration (CR)Your home-country company documents

Both routes need the same basics:

  • Business details. Legal name, address and phone number.
  • ID. A Saudi ID or passport for the account owner.
  • Tax number. Your VAT number, if you're registered.
  • A credit card that can be charged internationally.
  • A bank account for your payouts.

A CR (commercial registration) is your Saudi business licence. A sole-establishment CR costs SAR 500 on the Ministry of Commerce portal and is issued online. See Saudi business registration for the full route.

How do you register on Amazon.sa?

Registration takes one sitting if your documents are ready. If you're Saudi-based, the clock starts the moment you sign up, because the 30% fee discount needs your first listing within 20 days.

  1. 1

    Pick your route

Saudi company: go to sellercentral.amazon.sa. Already on Amazon elsewhere: add Saudi Arabia from the Sell Globally dashboard. Chinese company: register through Amazon Global Selling China.

  2. 2

    Scan your documents

CR or company licence, the owner's ID or passport, VAT certificate if you have one, a recent bank statement and your credit card. Make sure names match exactly across every document.

  3. 3

    Create the seller account

Choose the Professional plan. Its monthly fee is waived for now, and you need it to run Sponsored Products ads.

  4. 4

    Complete identity verification

Upload the documents and confirm your details. Keep the owner reachable by phone while Amazon reviews them.

  5. 5

Add your bank account and tax details

Payouts go by bank transfer. Enter your VAT number so invoices and fee VAT are handled correctly.

  6. 6

    Check category approvals

Some categories are gated. Check that your products have SABER certificates, and SFDA approval for food, cosmetics or supplements.

  7. 7

List your first products within 20 days

Hitting this window keeps Saudi-based sellers eligible for the 30% referral fee discount.

How do you list your products in Arabic?

You need a strong Arabic listing, not a machine translation. Most Saudi shoppers search in Arabic, and a translated title often misses the words they actually type.

Every Amazon.sa product page has an English and an Arabic version. Fill in both yourself:

  • Title. Brand, then the product type, key attribute and variant. Lead with the Arabic noun shoppers search, such as عطر عود for an oud perfume.
  • Bullets. Five short benefit lines in clear Modern Standard Arabic. Avoid Egyptian or Levantine dialect, which Gulf shoppers spot at once.
  • Images. A clean main image on white, plus lifestyle shots that show the product in a Saudi home.
  • Backend keywords. Add Arabic spellings and brand transliterations, like سامسونج for Samsung.

Not sure which words to use? Type your product into the Amazon.sa search bar in Arabic and note the suggestions, then check the titles of the top sellers in your category.

Write the Arabic title and bullets yourself. They're what most Saudi shoppers read first.

Already selling on Amazon in another country? Use the Build International Listings tool to copy your offers across, then replace the auto-translated Arabic with your own copy.

FBA, Easy Ship or Self Ship: which should you choose?

For most new sellers, FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) is the best start. You send stock to an Amazon warehouse, and Amazon stores, packs, delivers and handles returns.

There are two other options. Easy Ship means you store the stock and Amazon's couriers collect and deliver each order, while Self Ship means you use your own courier.

Amazon.sa fulfilment options. FBA fee for a standard parcel up to 1 kg priced above SAR 25. Fees exclude VAT. Source: sell.amazon.sa pricing, FBA schedule from 1 Aug 2025.

Here's the surprise for most sellers. For a small parcel, FBA is cheaper per order than Easy Ship, and it adds the Prime badge.

Easy Ship still makes sense for big, slow-moving items, where FBA storage adds up, and it's handy for a quick test before you commit stock.

Going with FBA? Your stock arrives through Send to Amazon and a Carrier Central delivery appointment. Our Amazon FBA Saudi Arabia guide walks through prep, labels and inbound.

How much does it cost to sell on Amazon.sa?

For a typical product, Amazon keeps about a fifth to a quarter of the price, which covers its commission and delivery.

You pay up to four fees:

  • Referral fee. A cut of each sale, from 3% to 16% depending on the category. Most products pay 10–15%. The minimum is SAR 1 per item.
  • Fulfilment fee. Charged per order if you use FBA or Easy Ship.
  • Storage. A monthly charge for FBA stock, based on the space it takes.
  • Plan fee. The Professional plan's monthly fee is waived for now.

There's no closing fee. VAT at 15% applies to Amazon's fees, and you can reclaim it if you're VAT-registered.

Worked example: a SAR 120 kitchen organiser

Say you sell a kitchen organiser for SAR 120, VAT included. It weighs 0.9 kg and ships as a standard parcel.

Fee line (ex-VAT)FBAEasy ShipFBA with 30% new-seller discount

Total Amazon fees~SAR 27.70 (23%)SAR 37.30 (31%)~SAR 22.66 (19%)

So FBA saves you almost SAR 10 per order here, and the launch discount takes off another SAR 5.

Remember that SAR 15.65 of the shelf price is VAT you owe ZATCA, the Saudi tax authority. With FBA, you keep about SAR 77 per sale before your product and shipping costs.

Try your own product. Change the price, category and size, then switch between FBA and Easy Ship.

What incentives can new sellers get in 2026?

Amazon.sa is running one of its most generous launch packages this year. Most of it needs you to list quickly and use FBA.

The 30% discount ends at the close of 2026, so if you're Saudi-based, launching this quarter pays.

Full terms and how to claim each one are in our guide to Amazon new-seller incentives.

How do you advertise on Amazon.sa?

Start with Sponsored Products on day one. They're pay-per-click ads that put your listing at the top of search results, and your launch credit pays for the first clicks.

Amazon.sa offers four ad types:

  • Sponsored Products. Ads for single listings. They need a Professional account.
  • Sponsored Brands. Your logo and several products at the top of search. They need Brand Registry.
  • Sponsored Display. Retargeting ads on and off Amazon. They also need Brand Registry.
  • Stores. A free branded mini-site inside Amazon.

What do clicks cost? Saudi agencies report the ranges below for 2026.

Typical cost per click on Amazon.sa, by category
Electronics (SAR 2–4)
3 SAR
Fashion (SAR 1.5–3.5)
2.5 SAR
Beauty (SAR 1.5–3)
2.25 SAR
Home (SAR 1–2.5)
1.75 SAR
Biteora (Saudi agency), Apr 2026. Bars show the midpoint of each reported range.

Agencies suggest starting at SAR 50–100 a day per campaign for one to two weeks, to learn which keywords sell.

Expect a high ACoS (ad cost of sales) in month one, since Gulf agencies report new accounts often start above 40%.

With a few months of tuning, most accounts settle near the 30% average, and well-run accounts reach 22–25%.

Since September 2026, the ads console also shows category benchmarks for Saudi Arabia. Use them to check whether your click-through rate and CPC are on track.

How do you get your first sales?

Your first 90 days decide how fast you grow. Amazon's algorithm rewards listings that sell early, so the aim is to get the first orders and reviews quickly.

  1. Day 0
    Open your account

Register, verify and add bank and tax details. Enrol in FBA New Selection.

  2. By day 20
    List your first products

Publish full Arabic and English listings. This keeps Saudi-based sellers eligible for the 30% fee discount.

  3. Weeks 2–4
    Send stock to FBA

Book a Carrier Central appointment. Start with a month or two of stock for your best products.

  4. Stock live
    Switch on Sponsored Products

Run one automatic and one manual campaign per hero product, funded by your launch credit.

  5. Days 30–60
    Collect reviews and tune ads

Use the Request a Review button on every order. Cut keywords that spend without selling.

  6. Days 60–90
    Plan your first big event

Submit deals for the next peak. White Friday 2026 deals are due by 19 November.

A few habits separate fast starters from slow ones:

  • Price to win the Featured Offer. Check the lowest landed price for your product on Amazon.sa and noon.
  • Keep stock in. Running out kills your ranking, and it takes weeks to recover.
  • Answer fast. Reply to buyer messages within 24 hours, in Arabic.
  • Watch account health. Late shipments and policy flags hurt every linked account you own.

Plan your peaks with our White Friday guide and use this list to track your launch:

Notes for Saudi-based sellers

You get the best deal of anyone this year. Here's how to make the most of it:

  • Get the 30% discount. It only applies to sellers located in and fulfilling from Saudi Arabia. List within 20 days of sign-up, and launch before the offer closes at year-end.
  • Register your CR first. Amazon.sa calls it a must-have for local sellers. Choose an online trade activity that matches what you sell.
  • Watch the VAT threshold. Register with ZATCA once taxable sales pass SAR 375,000 a year. See Saudi VAT for ecommerce.
  • Sell beyond Amazon too. Many Saudi brands add noon next. Our noon vs Amazon comparison shows where each one wins.

Notes for foreign brands (Amazon Global Selling)

Amazon says businesses outside the Middle East may not need a local company. Your goods still need to clear Saudi customs, though. Plan for these points:

  • Add Saudi Arabia to your account. From Seller Central, use the Sell Globally dashboard. Saudi Arabia appears as a linked account under one login.
  • Arrange an importer of record. Amazon won't act as importer of record (IOR) for FBA stock. Use your own Saudi entity or a forwarder's IOR service.
  • Ship DDP. Delivered Duty Paid means duty and 15% VAT are paid before stock reaches the warehouse. Warehouses refuse deliveries with charges still due.
  • Get SABER certificates. Most products need a SABER product certificate, plus a shipment certificate for each consignment. Start with our SABER and SASO guide.
  • Register for Saudi VAT. Non-residents have no threshold, so plan to register from your first sale.

Notes for Chinese sellers

Amazon is courting Chinese sellers hard in the Middle East. Its "Middle East 10,000 Stores" programme aims to add 10,000 Chinese sellers a year. Chinese sellers' FBA unit sales on its Gulf stores grew more than 50% in 2024.

  • Register through Amazon Global Selling China with your Chinese business documents. No Saudi company is needed.
  • Claim the 2026 pack. You get a USD 50,000 prepaid referral voucher and a USD 1,000 ad coupon. Until 30 December, FBA inbound cashback adds up to SAR 3,754 per ASIN.
  • Use Amazon SEND to ship from China, with customs handled at both ends. Dangerous goods are excluded.
  • Check restricted categories. Food, tobacco and adult products are off limits for Chinese cross-border sellers.
  • Pick a payout provider. WorldFirst, Payoneer, LianLian, PingPong and Airwallex all serve Amazon's Gulf stores.

Our guide to Amazon Middle East for Chinese sellers covers each step in detail.

Notes for UAE-based sellers

Already on Amazon.ae? Saudi Arabia is the natural next step: it's the Gulf's biggest market, and you already know how Amazon works.

  • Link the accounts. Add Amazon.sa from Sell Globally, and keep both accounts in good health.
  • Choose a route for stock. Ship to a Saudi FBA warehouse with an importer of record, or try Remote Fulfilment from the UAE first.
  • Rewrite for Saudi shoppers. Saudi buyers lean more Arabic-first than the UAE's expat-heavy market, so lead with Arabic.

See our Amazon UAE seller guide for the Emirates side.

Frequently asked questions

Amazon.sa's local route asks for a Saudi commercial registration, and a sole-establishment CR costs SAR 500 and is issued online. The Freelance Document doesn't cover reselling goods, so it isn't a substitute. Individuals outside Saudi Arabia sign up through Amazon Global Selling instead.
